I Designed A New Traveller's Journal for People with Chronic Conditions
I have had a rough week, I've been sicker than ever and hacking like a mule, and because of it, isolating though my antigen COVID test was negative.
I feel like I probably let down a few coworkers this week and the only real positive outcome of this week is that my new Daily Journal launched on Amazon this week. It's not my favourite cover, it's not all that pretty even, but the inside? I'm so proud of this thing.
And the positive news?
I'm currently ranking #189 in Canadian Art (Books) on Amazon.ca!
I've ordered a copy to be sent to me and I hope it's as fun as I designed it to be. New versions will be released as I make improvements.
Are you in need of a new daily diary or journal?

Daily Sets of Pages:Start the day set-up: This is the place where you put all of the following
- Meal Times
On each typical set-up the start of your day will be on the right hand side of your journal.I like to write in the morning in one ink colour, then use another ink colour in the afternoon to track if my pain or chronic conditions have changed.
At the bottom you'll notice the phrase "Key Words Only" because this isn't a spacious journal. It's meant to help you use your key feeling words from the start. Sometimes I like to journal in a larger workbook or diary and just pull these key words out after I've explored my feelings. This journal is sized to keep with you in a traveller's journal/diary set up or to fit nicely in your purse/bag.
This journal/diary is meant to log the symptoms and feelings I'm hoping to track more efficiently. Further, because I have chronic conditions, these key words are important when speaking with any medical staff or doctors about my well-being. Perhaps you could use the same or know someone who could use this tool?
This spread allows you to see yesterday's reflections as you plan your day which can be helpful for many.
The next portion of the journal is the Events of the Day on the flip side of the page.
I find staring at my plans while trying to remember what I did distracting, so they're not even on the same page. Instead, as I mentioned above, you see only the blank slate of tomorrow as you talk to yourself about today.
Below that is a specific section where you can put your own reflections, or the things you learned today. I sometimes write a quote I heard today in there.
I ordered my own bound copy, finally. In my own planner, it's not even printed, I write it by hand. I look forward to testing this new journal of mine and designing more if it's helpful.
Do you like journals?
Have you tried any of the new fad journals or Instagrammable planner sets? I've fallen for some pretty shoddy products in the past. That's why I'm just designing my own now. Do you journal daily?
If so, let me know in the comments...
Thanks for reading and I hope you want to check out this project I'm really proud of. (Already seeing a better version in my head, but this is the world we live in.)
